Node.js

Node.js is not directly related to business intelligence and data analytics, but it’s a powerful tool that can play a role in these areas. It’s an open-source, cross-platform JavaScript runtime environment that lets developers run JavaScript on the server side. Now, JavaScript is usually a language for making websites interactive, but Node.js allows it to be used for server-side scripting, which means building the back-end of applications — the part that handles the data and the business logic.

In the context of business intelligence, Node.js can be used to develop fast and scalable network applications that can handle large amounts of data in real-time. This is particularly useful for creating APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) which serve as the intermediaries between different software systems, allowing them to communicate and share data for analysis.

Additionally, since Node.js can handle lots of data requests simultaneously, it’s great for businesses that need to process high volumes of transactions quickly, such as in e-commerce or online services. By using Node.js, companies can ensure their back-end systems are efficient and can effectively support their data analytics and business intelligence activities.
